Self Portrait May 23 Introduction

This is my very first self portrait challenge. I am artist, I am historian, I am futurist. I am ever growing, ever learning, ever expanding, ever evolving. I am creator of many things, and lover of new things created. I am wife. I write my own story.

That came out really great! You are lovely! I've never tried the self-portrait challenge. I don't know why. Are those fonts? I'm particularly foind of the one you used to for "I write my own story." Very nice!

You have many and varied interests. A thing from which I also am 'afflicted'. :-) I occasionally get frustrated with being spread too thinly. I'd love to hear about how you approach your artistic life. (I posted a couple of days ago on this very subject, if you'd like to weigh in there. See "Leonardo").

Thanks!

Tara

monica - too kind, too kind, can't wait to see yours!

Hi scribbles, yes they are fonts. Years ago I had spent some time collecting them and they have been very useful to me. So glad you like them! I hadn't tried the self portrait before either but I've admired others for so long that I finally decided to give it a try. I would love to see yours. And thank you!

tic illustration - Thank you and here, here for the mutually afflicted! It is contagious isn't it? For me the creative bug in all of it's applications feels physical, like there is an overwhelming urge in my belly and I have to satisfy it! I feel it when I'm animating, or crafting, or working, or sometimes before hand when I am preparing too, and this feeling catapults me forward, or to continue on. Perhaps it's adrenalin from excitement or anticipation? However it works, I do try to use it to go back and forth enough so that all my responsibilities are covered, I'll have to go check out your post!

tlc, I left a (rather lengthy) comment for you at your blog. It was very nice, thank you!

Gina - thanks for your lovely and thoughtful words. I agree completely.
I am getting 'clearer' on what my questions even *are* as I continue to explore this. I love your thoughts on 'process'. I guess the place I get hooked up is when it comes to the need-to-be-making-money-from-this part of it...

Thank you for the discussion tlc. Ah, the money, yes this is a tricky area. With multiple interests there does have to be a hierarchy established, but it can be done. If you are still exploring all of the artistic sides of yourself take your time to find your most comfortable place (or media). We all know that the best way to make money is to do what we love right! I think it's wise that you are investigating all of your talents and all of options!

P.S. You are a fabulous artist!
