Morning Glory

I've finished a bundle of projects but since they are gifts I can't put them up! Sometime around the middle of the month I will be able to share them with you! In the meantime this is a photo of my artist apron, which will be great in protecting from ink spatter produced by the Gocco and solder splashes produced by the jewelry making. Seems a shame to dirty up such cuteness but it's better than the alternative. I got this at a Morning Glory shop which I found by accident. I have been going to Joanne's forever and only recently on an emergency run for embroidery floss did I notice a whole area of Japanese and Chinese shops in the same strip mall. Lucky for me I decided to investigate!

Adorable! I thik the slippers in particular are going to kill me with their cuteness! I would have never thought of having one of the cats peaking over the top like a sneaker tongue!

scribbles & bits - it inspired me too! I think we could applique similar guys on clothing or other items (pillows, towels, stuffed animals etc). This little guy is peeking up from a very large sized pocket, in fact the slippers fit inside of them with room left over for another pair! The pocket size is great for stuffing things in when working on projects, I won't lose anything!

risa - I know! I'm dangerous to myself too! I've been on a streak haven't I! And I haven't even meant it! Your other store is at Alderwood Mall (Lynwood), this one is on Aurora (Seattle). When you get back home from Seattle, will you post photos of your shopping trips? That would be fun. : )

Nico - Broke but happy right LOL! You know since I'm not too far away from Canada, (been up there once before to where you are, in Vancouver) I wanted to take a peek at your Daiso. From a photo I saw online it looks like it might be bigger than the one down here? How far of a drive is it to Richmond from where you are? There is an International District here too, but I've yet to go. But it's on the to do list : )

Tell more about "Morning Glory"! Are there actual physical stores in the area or only online? Cute stuff.

Thanks kumi!

tlc illustration - I hadn't heard of them before I ran into this store but inside of the shop they had Hello Kitty, and some other characters like Blue Bear etc., and lot of similar cutie pie stuff and they even had some Muppets! I got this really soft light blue cloud (with smile face) adorned notebook that has it's own cover to slide into and on the back of it they had a website so I looked it up. Not quite the selection as the physical shop, but still cute. Here is the url:
