Ada-bot
I've been on a creative bender! Yesterday I made a huggable robot, Ada, named after my favorite "first programmer ever", Ada Lovelace (1815 - 1852). I'm actually quite surprised at how well it turned out considering that it's my first plushie, that I just figured out how to cut fleece, and that I had no pattern. I cut squares and rectangles out of fleece for the legs, body and head. The heart was cut out of sticky felt (the same as on the Valentines envelope) and the eyes and mouth are also felt. The legs and arms are so skinny that I had to use a pencil to stuff them. I chose to use a drop of glue for the pipe cleaner antenna to keep the look of simplicity. It's alive, it's alive!

He he he!
What a cutie!!
Love it!
Oh thank you!
How big is it?
Just wonder...
If you measure from her feet to the top of her head she's about 12 1/2 inches (a lot of that is skinny leg), if you include the antenna she is 14. Her belly is about 5 inches by 5 inches.
Yay! I get to post! I'm not at work and blogger isn't having scheduled maintenance!
Gina, I have suspected in the past month that you don't sleep and spend all night working on creative brain storms and projects. Especially, given the diversity of all the things you are working on...
Yay, my dear lady k! Hello! You are so right! I do get carried away with late nights, and it has been getting worse. The problem is that I do make up for it in the morning so I wake up at a miserable hour! On the flip side of that, since I work for myself - as my own boss - I don't reprimand myself to badly for it! : )
any new cuties to come up yet?
I've got a valentine cutie for you:

Very Cute! And I love Ada! I have the book about her, and sometimes hide money in it for good luck.
Thanks staceyjoy! I love her too, she deserves a whole lot of historical credit. I'm sure she will bring you luck : )
