The hubbies shoebag

Okay Peta, as promised here is the hubbies shoe bag. It has different fabric on both sides but they match in their robotic theme as they are both manufactured by Michael Miller fabrics. That link isn't working at the moment (just because I posted it I suppose : )

Shoe bag

Here we have a two sided drawstring shoe bag. I made this bag in anticipation of the next nanotech conference I will be attending. My feet are small enough that if I pack an extra pair of sandals or thongs they will fit into a glad bag, but if they are tennis shoes or other they won't. So I decided to make this bag that can be used over and over again to keep both my shoes and the surrounding clothes in my suitcase protected. The other nice thing about a cloth shoebag is that you can wash it! This is the first time since before my husbands chemo and stem cell transplants that we will be able to go back to the conferences, so we are very excited. He's getting a bag too : )

We can help

I just watched Lisa Lings investigative report on the problem of chlid labor and slavery of young girls in Southeast Asia, called Who cares about girls. It's a very heartbreaking situation but we can help by donating to the Global Fund for Women here.
Hope you all had a happy fourth.
